Rapper Kodak Black has been released from solitary confinement after spending 30 days in an individual cell.
His lawyer, Bradford Cohen shared the news saying that the rapper was removed away from other inmates at Florida’s Broward County Prison after he was busted making a three-way call on a jail phone trying to speak to someone he wasn’t authorized to speak to.
“In my 21 years of practice, I’ve never had someone get 30 days solitary for a 3-way call,” Cohen told Billboard. He said that he wasn’t sure on who was on the other end of the call.
Kodak is behind bars after being arrested in January when police raided his home and was busted for weed and ammunition possession, child neglect and grand theft of a fire arm.
It’s not the first time he had a run in with the law, last year, the rapper was indicted for first-degree sexual assault charges in an unrelated incident that took place at a hotel in South Carolina.
