EVERYTHING IS LOVE

Beyoncé wasn’t playing when she said she breaks the internet; top two and she ain’t number two. Yes, The Carters were trending again over the weekend. They just dropped a surprise album; finally that joint album we’ve been waiting for since 03 Bonnie & Clyde. With the bold words ALBUM OUT NOW displayed at the end of their show in London, the announcement made by Beyoncé on Twitter shook the world. Streaming exclusively on their co-owned music streaming site Tidal, the world (well, mostly the US and Europe) was gifted Everything Is Love.

The Internet is wild with reviews on the 9 track album and the meaning of the lyrics in the songs. From the reviews, and of course the album title, this is a celebration of their healing and triumph of their love. In the wake of Lemonade and 4:44, it was only fitting that the Carters come together in their art. They also rented out the entire Louvre in Paris to shoot the APESHIT video.. this is power, my friends. You don’t just rent out the Louvre, home of the Mona Lisa. You’ve got to have some muscle.

Once again, we are reminded why Beyoncé and Jay Z are the King and Queen of the music industry. Using art in music, dance, fashion, photography and videography to share their humanity with the world on an epic scale. I can only imagine the number of people who signed up on Tidal to stream this album; I was one of the many who attempted to. I doubt the world will ever experience a couple like this again; at least not in this lifetime.
