Former TV personality Louis Otieno has gone deaf as things turn from bad to worse in his quest to regain his normal life.
Otieno, who is currently suffering from Acute pancreatitis, said people who were close to him, including millionaires and politicians have abandoned him and cannot help him get the treatment he needs the most. He was speaking in a candid interview on KTN TV which left many Kenyans in a somber mood.
Otieno also made the medical appeal on social media trying to gather any shilling he could for treatment.
“I’m from a life where I had two phones ringing 24/7, leaders and politicians who I thought were my friends, now no one is concerned,” Louis Otieno said in the interview.
”I had people on speed dial, who were supposed friends , I have people who are now leaders, I have people who are now governors ,literally, opinion leaders around there, Parliament has them. But no one is interested.”
Otieno was a household name back in the day, becoming one of the most sought after news anchor. He has worked in all the top TV stations in Kenya.
