Written by on October 1, 2018

Former Citizen TV news anchor Terryanne Chebet, who is a close friend to Jacque Maribe, has come out to deny being questioned or even approached by police in regards to Monica Kimani’s death.

Chebet, who has always been tight with Maribe since her Citizen TV days, denied that she, alongside Shix Kapienga and  director Monica Kiragu, were summoned by DCI as rumors on social media stated.

“Good morning guys, it has come to my attention that I have been allegedly summoned by DCI in connection to my friend Jacqui’s arrest. First I would like clarify that DCI has not reached out to me and I have only read about it online. While I am not involved in the unfortunate events, I understand that by virtue of being Jacqui’s friend, I may be called upon as a character witness. Should I be called upon, I am available,” wrote Terryanne Chebet.

Police have extended Maribe’s lock down at Gigiri police for 11 more days as Kiambu Principal Magistrate Justus Kituku allowed police to detain her to facilitate further investigation.

Jacque had spent two nights at Gigiri Police Station after she was arrested on Saturday September 29th in connection with the murder of Monica Kimani.
