FKF KENYA PREMIER LEAGUE YET TO RETURN FOR THE 2022/2023 SEASON

At a time when almost all top flight football leagues are back in action, we are yet to see Kenya’s premier league back in action.

In a circular dated Wednesday, 10 August 2022, the FKF transition committee announced that the 2022/2023 FKF Premier League had been pushed forward from Saturday, August 27,  to Saturday, September 10 2022.

All the Game week 1 fixtures will Kick Off at 3PM EAT with Last Season’s champions Tusker hosting Posta Rangers at the Ruaraka grounds, Nairobi.

As it is the norm, the start of each new season brings with it new teams promoted to the country’s top flight league as a result of relegation of the bottom two Teams.

Promoted Teams- Kirinyaga based Fortune Sacco FC and the pride of Bomet County, Administration Police Services Bomet Football Club (APS Bomet FC) achieved great success in the National Super League emerging 1st and 2nd and automatically securing their places in the top league.

Relegated teams

Vihiga Bullets and Mathare United weren’t lucky enough as they slipped down to the National Super League after finishing the season 17th and 18th respectively.
