While Kenyans on social media have been complaining ever since gospel singer Kambua said “I do” to her husband pastor Jackson Mathu way back in 2012, Kambua wants them to know she has never regretted the decision.
She has also made it clear since then.
The singer, for the first time, has now opened up about marrying Mathu who is older than her, a thing that social media couldn’t stand. Speaking to Amina Abid on the Trend while launching her new song “Count your blessing”, Kambua said that her hubby isn’t as old as people preach.
“My husband is the best thing that has happened to me. He has white hair which I really love and because he has white hair people say he is so old,” she told Amina.
She added:
“We are barely a decade apart he and even if he was 20 or 30, if he was the one who chose me i would still love him and it still would not matter what people say. I know people will have an opinion over everything, does he have children? They will have an opinion, they will not like it.”
