Akothee To Take Music Break

Singer Esther Akoth, popularly known as Akothee, has announced that she will be taking a short break from music.

The mother of five, who will be performing this Saturday at the ASK Showground in Kisumu, made the revelation on  Tuesday to the surprise of her fans.

She said her last performance will be on Friday, August 31st before she proceeds for a music break which will see her rest until the end of September.

The ‘Give It To Me’ hitmaker revealed that her heartbeat rate is not normal and this necessitated the one-month rest. She plans to spend the time with her family, more so her sons Ojwang and Oyoo.

After her break, Akothee will share the stage with the likes of Davido, Wizkid, Sarkodie and Diamond Platnumz at the One Africa Music Fest which will be held on Friday 16th November at the Dubai Arena in Dubai City.
