Alicia Keys surprises her man with birthday gift worth millions

American singer Alicia Keys spent at least $150, 000 (Ksh15 million) to buy her husband Swizz Beatz a brand new 2019 Aston Martin Vantage as a birthday gift.

Keys, 37, presented the gift to Swizz Beats in a star-studded party that saw the likes of fellow musicians Jay Z, Beyonce, Usher Raymond among other top celebrities attend.

According to a video of the bash posted by TMZ, 37-year-old Keys can be can be seen instructing photographers not to say a word, as she leads a blindfolded Swizz into what he thinks is a dinner at a secret restaurant, but is really the World on Wheels skating rink in Los Angeles.

While Alicia Keys and Swizz were inside, her gift was being rolled out, a 2019 Aston Martin Vantage, whose market price begins at $150,000 (Ksh15 million), according to the Dailymail.

Swizz, whose real name is Kasseem Dean, actually celebrated his 40th birthday on September 13, and revealed that he actually hurt his arm, which he had tucked into an orange Nike Air hoodie.

But a gift from his wife had to wait until he healed.

When asked why he thought Alicia Keys blindfolded him, Swizz said: “I thought we were going to a secret restaurant, a ninja restaurant. My wife is always up to something.”

When asked how she organised the surprise, Alicia Keys said she did it with “a lot of help, a lot of good friends who contributed, who love him, and a few little white lies to throw him off cause he’s so nosy!”

Alicia Keys added that the biggest lie she told him was that the car was already sold, adding: “he was quite upset.”

The video ends with Swizz thanking everyone for coming.

This surprise party comes ten months after Swizz threw Alicia Keys a surprise party for her 37th birthday.

Swizz surprised her by turning the New York City hotspot Tao into a roller skating rink, inviting high-profile friends like Nas an Lala Anthony.
