Music superstar Tinashe has had notable success since leaving her old record label RCA Records and going independent. Her 3rd and first independently produced album Songs For You has garnered 50,000,000 streams thus far on Spotify,which is no mean feat.

This new stripped-uptempo release dubbed Superstar/Rascal is testament to her artistic ingenuity. A confident and borderline cocky Tinashe croons about her penchant for the finest things in life like cars,clothes and money,a theme akin to the one prevalent one in Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings. The production on the record is top-notch,incorporating opera-esque background vocals that make the song even more catchy. The video is colorful as they come and sees Tinashe play dress up with a myriad colors and regalia as she dances around.
