Céline Dion forced to cancel anticipated concert after developing ear problems

Singer Celine Dion won’t perform at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace Las Vegas in March and April as planned after developing a middle ear condition called Patulous Eustachian tube.

The singer took to Facebook to make a detail explanation on why she cancelled the two shows that were scheduled for March 27 and April 18 saying that she now must undergo a minimally invasive surgical procedure.

Dion has been suffering for more than a year with Patulous Eustachian tube, “which causes hearing irregularities, and makes it extremely difficult to sing.”

“We regret to inform you that the performances of Céline at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace scheduled for March 27 through April 18 have been cancelled. Céline has been dealing with a condition in her middle ear known as Patulous Eustachian tube, which causes hearing irregularities, and makes it extremely difficult to sing,” read the statement of Facebook.

She also added that she has been experiencing a bad spell lately that has seen her miss several shows. Recently, she missed two shows as a result of symptoms from a lingering cold.

“My luck hasn’t been very good lately… I’ve been so looking forward to doing my shows again and this happens…. I just can’t believe it! I apologize to everyone who planned to travel to Las Vegas to see my show. I know how disappointing this is, and I’m so sorry,” she said on Facebook.

Céline is expected to resume performances at The Colosseum as scheduled on Tuesday, May 22nd.
