Nonini named Safaricom’s creative brand ambassadors

Popular Kenyan rapper Nonini has partnered with Safaricom as their data brand ambassador for the next six months.
The contract, which was signed last Thursday at the Michael Joseph Centre, is geared at both creativity and community impact.
The 35-year-old signed up for a six-month partnership during which he will be heavily involved in Safaricom brand campaigns using his image, voice, and content. He also plans to participate in Safaricom Foundation activities.
“This partnership is meant to open a new chapter to show artistes how they can make themselves a brand. It is important for them to know that they can go beyond their music. I hope that it will open up opportunities for corporate to endorse artistes,” said the FurahiDayhit maker.
“We settled on this partnership with Nonini because he is a pioneer of new-age Kenyan music popularly known as Genge, is passionate about artistes’ rights through his involvement with PRISK and other organizations that fight for artistes’ rights. His passion for helping those in need goes in line with our brand spirit of Twaweza and we look forward to working with him on various projects,” said Charles Kare, Acting Director- Consumer Business, Safaricom.
