Rihanna called Cardi B’s gold watch gloves “the most ghetto sh*t she’s ever seen in her life”

Cardi B was riding high after releasing her new single Money. For the track’s cover art, the Bronx firecracker wears nothing but a pair of Christian Cowan’s gold, jewel-encrusted gloves, stiletto heels and a gold fringed hat.

The lavish ensemble fitted perfectly with the art’s gold backdrop and indulgent theme of the song. But the 25-year-old rapper may now struggle to raise a smile after it emerged that Rihanna described the same gloves in less than flattering terms whilst having a chat with British Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edward Enniful back in August.

In a video from August with British Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edward Enniful, Rihanna picked up the very same gloves and said, “these are the most ghetto shit I’ve ever seen in my life.”

The comments came while the two fashion icons picked over a selection of clothing for Rihanna’s cover September issue cover shoot.
