Gospel rapper Eko Dydda was recently rejected by Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) students before hitting stage during the school’s cultural week event.

The gospel singer was meant to take stage but instead left early after the students, who were drunk, insisted they didn’t want him to perform.

The students said the gospel singer will preach to them in case he goes up on stage and therefore didn’t want anything to do with him.

We do not want gospel singers in this mood. We need someone who can rock when we are this high. Eko will start preaching to us, let him go!” the students said.

Lucky, Eko Dydda had already been paid Ksh 50,000 for his performance. He was set to perform from 1 am.
