Beyoncé makes history with Coachella performance

Social media was buzzing with Beyonce’s headline set this weekend after she shut down Coachella, making fans nickname the popular event, Beychella.

Around 100,000 fans are expected in California for the two-week festival which runs until 22 April.

Once again the the 36-year-old singer showed why she’s considered one of the world’s greatest entertainers.

B opened her two-hour set surrounded by dancers in military-themed costumes before husband Jay-Z joined her for a rendition of her 2003 hit, Crazy In Love.

If the venue had a roof, it would’ve come off, when Beyonce was joined on stage by Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

“Coachella, thank you for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline,” Beyoncé said, before singing “Run the World (Girls).”

In fact, Bey even slayed her way through a mild wardrobe malfunction, which occurred when her camo top and boots gave her some low-key issues. Basically said camo top was like “byeeeeeeee” and at then her boots were also like “byeeeee,” and Beyoncé was like “I THINK NOT.”

The superstar was scheduled to headline last year’s festival, but canceled under doctor’s orders because she was pregnant with twins at the time. Lady Gaga stepped in as her replacement.
