Album Review: Afreaka- Victoria Kimani

Victoria Kimani’s 3rd studio album Afreaka is as good as out. The follow up to her debut and sophomore works Safari and Afropolitan respectively is a collaboration with Atlanta-based,multiplatinum American music producer FK1st. Ever since she announced that the record was underway,the talented singer-songwriter has released a song every week.
The 9-track album sees Kimani and FK1st-who features on the whole project-experiment with African-inclining sounds. She says the two met in Atlanta through a mutual friend and that this album will be instrumental in her entry into the American market. Gearing up for a continental buzz,Kimani dropped a sizzling video that features Ghanaian actor and comedian Michael Blackson dubbed Talk to Me. This was the culmination of several cryptic teases suggesting a supposed affair with Blackson on her social media.
The artwork is spectacular, suffice to say.
