Written by on April 29, 2020

Mariah Carey is at this point no stranger to her classic music making a resurgence atop the charts after years on end. Last Christmas (hey George Michael,no pun intended!),her iconic Christmas carol All I Want For Christmas went to #1 on the Hot 100,a record 25 years after its release! That is no mean feat.

Fast forward April 2019,her 2008 album E=MC2 is on top of the World iTunes chart. The album was a follow-up to 2005’s The Emancipation of MiMi and is regarded her 2nd biggest comeback album. It spawned the smash hit single Touch My Body, her 18th number one, making her the solo act in history with the most #1s on the Billboard Hot 100,overtaking Elvis Presley.
Her dedicated fanbase referred to as Lambily prompted a wildfire social media campaign with the hashtag Justice For E=MC2,and the culmination was the album shooting up the charts.
E=MC2 is Mariah’s 11th studio album. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart after its release.
