Makeup has now become trendy and essential for all women across the board. As cosmetic companies make billions from selling and advertising makeup and other beauty products, it is important that you know what works for you. This way you can only spend your money on what you need.
You can only know what you need and what to spend your money on once know the things you need for a proper facebeat. To beat your face, always apply makeup in a room with a lot of natural light; this helps you see how it will look once you’re outside.
First of makeup should always be applied on a clean and prepared face. By clean I mean, washed, cleansed, toned and sunscreened. By prepared, I mean, investing in a good primer.
To choose the best primer, you need to know your skin. If you are oily; go for a mattifying primer and for dry/normal skin; go for an oily to normal primer.
Always start by shaping your eyebrows to your preferred shape with an eyebrow pencil. Use a concealer to shape it above and under your eyebrows.
The next step is to apply the foundation of your choice. Apply little foundation to avoid “caking” you face. Use a brush and foundation sponge to rub it into your face.
Check yourself in the mirror for any problem areas that are visible after applying foundation. Use a concealer brush to apply concealer on those areas. Use the same foundation sponge to blend it.
Work on your eyes by applying the color choice of your eyeshadow together with mascara and eyeliner. Ensure that your eyes pop! That’s what defines your makeup.
Apply powder on your face to completely cover your makeup. Once this is done Apply lip liner on your lips and then apply your preferred lipstick or lipgloss.
The last step is to spray setting spray on your face; This keeps your makeup in place the whole day. Ensure your setting spray just like your primer is for your face texture; either normal, oily or dry.
Some people add highlighter to their makeup on cheekbones, nose, inner eyes and lips to bring out the ‘extra’ effect.
