KANYE WEST AND KID CUDI RELEASE NEW ALBUM: KIDS SEE GHOSTS
Written by Sam Mr on September 20, 2018
As promised, Kanye West as ensured another album from his label Good Music has dropped in time after he teamed up with Kid Cudi for new release dubbed: Kids See Ghosts
The album has arrived just one week on from his polarising, half-baked eighth solo album “Ye” and two after Pusha T’s “Daytona” . Good Music has promised to release an album every week till all the signees have dropped something for their fans.
Kids See Ghosts, their debut collaborative album, is the work of two men struggling to shake their demons. West is the reckless, flamboyant half of the duo; his first appearance on the album opener “Feel the Love” seats him in the role of a ballroom commentator (or a dembow artist), yelping monosyllabic exclamations over the beat while Cudi whoops through the hook.
“Fire” sees Kanye blasting rails and lashing out at haters before Cudi, the pair’s relaxed, introspective half, offers an earnest invocation: “Heaven lift me up.”
