The Lion King Anticipation Hits Fever Pitch

The much hyped Lion King premiere came to life this past week,and the stars brought all the glory. The 2019 reboot of the 1994 Disney live-action classic has been one of this year’s most anticipated projects,given the mega success of its predecessor. And with Beyonce voicing Nala to boot,rest assured of a premiere like none other.

Hollywood A-listers amomg them Beyonce’s former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams came harbouring loads of support for the new voice of Nala that is Beyonce. Donald Glover who voices Simba,Tiffany Haddish and pretty much every black elite upped the ante on the red carpet for this very monumental moment in film history.

Yesterday,the London premiere went down in London and it was nothing short of a glitzy affair. The anticipation for The Lion King that actually comes out July 18 couldn’t have hit a higher fever pitch when the duke and duchess of Sussex made their entrance at London’s Leicester Square Sunday,and bumped and chatted up a storm with Hollywood royalty Beyonce and Jay Z.
