Mariah Carey Will Write,Sing And Executive Produce On New Black-ish Spin Off

After the mega success of both Grownish and Blackish,a sequel would be predictable. And who better to sing on the soundtrack than Mariah Carey. The elusive chanteuse has announced she is the writer,singer and executive producer of the Mixed-ish soundtrack dubbed In The Mix.

The new spinoff will take an indepth look into the intricacies of being biracial and all that that comes with it. With stars like Tracee Ellis Ross-who plays the character Rainbow,navigating life growing up in a mixed-race family in the ’80s-the show will demystify what mixed kids have to grapple with on the daily. There could not have been a better voice than Mariah’s,who is of biracial descent and has in the past opened up about the identity crisis she was always caught up in growing up.

The soundtrack and show premiere September 24. MiMi better bring out that 5-octave vocal range to play!
