A Look Into Selena Gomez’s Scorching Comeback Single

It has been a hot minute since Selena Gomez dropped new music. The singer has been on quite the rollercoaster ride since her last album Revival,that debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. From her lupus diagnosis,to the subsequent kidney transplant to getting back with Justin Bieber,it goes without saying that she has been on quite a bumpy ride.

Fast forward to about a year ago when Selena first teased that she was busy in studio working on new music;a possible full-length LP and the follow-up to Revival. Then ensued a myriad more studio shots that were a tell-tale that she indeed was working on new music.

The first cut off of the record dropped earlier today and sent fans into a frenzy! The scorching ballad dubbed Lose You To Love Me bears telling lyrics that call off a supposed ex-lover. The lyric “In two months you replaced us like it was easy / Made me think I deserved it in the thick of healing” immediately convinced she was referencing her on-off relationship with Justin Bieber. The latter moved on with Hailey Baldwin and proposed her within months,all publicly documented,much to the detriment of Selena’s deteriorating mental health.

The accompanying black and white video drives the message as it depicts a visibly emotional Selena singing her heart out.
