LG FIFA FAN FEST SEASON ONE WRAP UP

19th of September was a big day for the eSports community in Kenya as the LG FIFA Fan Fest season one ended. The eSports league kicked off with 128 esports athletes competing in a two-stage competition.  The pools stage was first round and saw all the gamers competing for the top 16 positions that would allow them a chance to be invited to the champions eCup presented by Dell and Intel.
 The second stage was the champions eCup with all the top 16 players from the pools stage. The 16 played online in a round robbing format with the top   with top 8 gamers getting an invite to compete in person at the semifinals and finals. As well as a chance to also experience on the best video gaming tv in the market – LG OLED Tv built to enhance your video gaming experience by reducing lag and input delay. 

The grand finals had the top 4 athletes competing in a double elimination format, which was streamed live on the pro series gaming YouTube channel thanks to our broadcast partner What’s Good Media. The grand finale matches were casted over by our very able commentators  – Hirsi HD and John Ribia with our very own Charlie Karumi giving us an opportunity to interact with the athletes at the esports nuke 

At the end of a very intense grand finale we had a representative from LG – Hiram Macharia Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Manager awarding Diinow11 Champion, followed in by Tevin, Namzi and Barimain. The athletes walked away with some amazing rewards from some of the league partners namely:
