Adam Levine; I was Naïve and Stupid

 

Very few things unite people on the internet and one of them is cheating scandals. Celebrity cheating scandals. The latest victim of the wrath of netizens is Adam Levine,  lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the pop rock band Maroon 5. 

News of this latest scandal hit the internet after Instagram model, Sumner Stroh, took to TikTok to reveal that she had a year-long affair with the married singer.

“Essentially, I was having an affair with a man who’s married to a Victoria’s Secret model. At the time, you know, I was naïve, and I mean, quite frankly, I felt exploited.” Sumner disclosed.

 

Additionally, the Instagram model went on to show screenshots of conversations they had during the alleged year of seeing each other. She went on to say that they stopped talking for a while. This is when Adam came back with a suggestion that he would name his baby after the model.

 

“I’m having another baby, and if it’s a boy, I really want to name it Sumner, You okay with that? Dead serious.” read the text.

 

Sumner Stroh said that she is well aware that her morals were compromised and she decided to come out because she had recklessly sent the screenshots to some friends who then tried to sell them to some tabloids.

 

A section of the internet was very shocked that, in addition to cheating on his almost expectant wife, Adam tried to name the unborn baby after his side chick.

Adam’s Response

With all these developments, Adam Levine has finally responded to these allegations. “A lot has been said about me right now and I want to clear the air.” Adam wrote on his Instagram story.

 

The singer has distanced himself from the allegations that he cheated. He has however confessed that he used poor judgement in speaking to anyone other than his wife in a flirting manner.

 

“I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life. In certain instances, it became inappropriate; I have addressed that and taken proactive steps to remedy this with my family.”

 

Additionally, Adam Levine went on to profess his love for his family and wife saying that they are all he cares about.

 

“To be this naïve and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make” Adam added.

 

The ‘Girls Like You’ vocalist has termed this a mistake that he will never repeat.

 

“I take full responsibility. We will get through it and we will get through it together.” read that last part of the statement.
