I love discovering old treasurers and I must say, I found one gorgeous Fairview hotel located along 2nd Ngong. To my surprise the place sets you in this relaxed mood, accompanied by a serene view of trees and waterfall and above all good food.
People are looking for intimate places like smaller venues, no-frills and security to be top tier. Even as restrictions are easing, these smaller gatherings are favored for remote team meetups and socializing too
I had the opportunity to interact with Chef Kabelo Mooktesi who has worked in the hotel industry for over 16 years, and recently moved to Kenya 5 months ago to work at FairView hotel. He said out of all the countries he has ever worked in, Nairobi is his best yet, and to be precise, FairView hotel.
If you have been to Fairview, you know how beautiful it is, from the garden space to the beach-like area namely Pwani to conference rooms, lounge area and dining area too, just takes your breath away.
As Chef Mooktesi was preparing us mouth-watering meals and having us taste different sets of things, l found myself asking him with all the tasting of food, one is bound to gain lots of weight, what does he do to make sure he doesn’t gain too much, “Before meeting you guys l was actually headed to the gym” he said.
Now as we were enjoying our meal and chit-chat with the chef, you could hear this magical saxophonist doing his thing in the background. We came at the right time because it was a Jazzy night. And on Jazz night they have good offers on cocktails( ask for Irish gangster cocktail, the best) . For someone who enjoys a nice cozy dinner and easy music with friends I am definitely having girls night at Fairview hotel.
Tag a friend or family and enjoy the amazing Fairview hotel. This is definitely a vacation in town.
