With the festive season coming to an end and the famous long month that people hate here (January), people need to save as much as possible.
January is also known for its famous nickname Njaaanuary because of how long it seems to be abd how broke people normally are.
Families tend to overspend during the festive period and forget the monster month of January which is normally around the corner.
With school fees on the way and the December salary on the verge of ending people have to look for cheaper eating habits.
Hardly will anyone eat the large sums of meat they ate during the festive season. It can be said that people are given a forced detox since each meal consists of vegetables.
To prove how terrifying the first month of the year is it has 5 full weeks. Wuuueeeh !!! can we really survive?
Don’t stress yourself too much I have a simple plan that will make you survive this long month Njaanuary.
- Make use of online shops.
Instead of going to the supermarket and waiting in long queues to buy overprized food commodities, buy things from online shops.
Take advantage of the discounts in online shops and buy more products for lesser amounts.
2. Carry foodstuff from upcountry.
If visiting your rural home was a vacation spot for you then you are in luck.
With the heavy rains that happened last year, food was in plenty in “ushago”.
Carry some foodstuff that you think will boost you and will help you not to fill the pinch of the month.
3. Avoid unnecessary spending.
The month is already tough on its own don’t torture yourself with impulse buying only get items that you really require this will help you save money.
4. Have a list of things you plan to purchase before going shopping.
Make a to-do list alongside the budget for each of the items you are to purchase and strictly follow the list.
5. Purchase goods on Fridays.
Big sales normally have the “Black Fridays” offers make them your friends this month.
