Golazo Galore as Foden Masterclass settles Manchester derby.

Manchester City’s Phil Foden was the star of the show as Manchester United secured a comeback win over neighbours Manchester United.

Marcus Rashford gave Manchester United the lead, but Foden’s brace and a late goal from Erling Haaland secured all three points for the hosts.

Rashford opened the scoring for Manchester United with an absolute rocket from well over 25 yards that left Ederson helpless in goal for Manchester City.

Manchester City were unable to find an equaliser going into the break despite having 17 shots on goal and 73% of the possession in the first half.

The visiting team showcased a solid and impenetrable defence, often keeping a majority of their players behind the ball in an attempt to fend off the continuous attacks from Manchester City.

They executed their strategy effectively, allowing only three of Cityzens’ 17 shots to reach the goalkeeper Andre Onana.

In the second half, Manchester City increased their pressure on Manchester United’s goal and eventually managed to equalize the score with a stunning goal from Phil Foden.

The academy graduate’s 17th goal of the season in all competitions marked a new personal best.

As the game ebbed towards a stalemate, Foden stamped his authority on the match with his second goal of the game which was the eventual winner.

Foden’s strike was also his sixth against Manchester United, making them his favourite opponents alongside Brentford, who he has also scored six goals against.

Haaland was on hand to put the cherry on top of Manchester City’s comeback win with his goal in the first minute of extra time.
