Kibe: One channel was giving me at least $10,000 every month.

Blogger Andrew Kibe has disclosed the amount of money he used to earn from his video content on YouTube after returning to Kenya following the shutdown of his channels in the US.

In an interview with Mungai Eve, Kibe disclosed that he had 6 channels, but two of them had not yet started generating income before they were suddenly closed.

The content creator stated that each channel was earning him approximately $10,000, which is equivalent to 1.5 million Kenyan shillings every month.

However, one morning he woke up to find that all six of his channels had gone without prior warning.

Despite coming to establish his platform, Kibe believes that some of his fellow bloggers from Kenya, who were jealous of his success, joined forces to ensure he was reported to YouTube authorities and subsequently banned.

“They shut down all 6 channels, something bad that someone did. And I think it’s you and your colleagues who did it. You joined together and said you would go report me. It’s not just one person; I believe there were many people who came together after seeing jealousy for what I was earning from YouTube,” Kibe said.

“I was making a lot of money. One channel was giving me at least $10,000 every month. Such a thing doesn’t just happen by itself; I believe there are certain people who were jealous and went to report me to YouTube. All six of my channels went down,” he added.

Kibe stressed that it was not copyright issues that caused his channels to go down but people who were envious of his success.
