Betty Kyallo’s “Flair By Betty” set to be auctioned due to rent arrears.

Betty Kyallo caused worry among Kenyans when she shared a message on Instagram about the challenges of running a business in the current economic climate. 

On April 7th, on her Instagram page, she posted that it has become increasingly difficult to operate a business.

“Landlords don’t want to reduce rent and it becomes a huge burden on businesses that are struggling because of the economic slowdown.”

Adding, “I let it go,” she shared her decision but said that she was in a better place mentally.

“I am happier, I sleep better My peace of mind is more important than a name. I’m good.” 

This prompted concern from Kenyans causing her to reassure them that all was well and that she was reopening AfterShaveByFlair in Upper Hill.

“Thanks for the calls and texts but Mimi Niko Sawa. Many Kenyans are going through the most in business. Many people have closed businesses in this country. I let it go… but Flair will be back. Just a matter of time. Also …. today we reopen @aftershavebyflair Upperhill, La Baita. We have expanded, we are bigger. Gentlemen Come for a haircut.”

Betty Kyalo’s beauty shop, known as “Flair By Betty”, is set to be auctioned off due to unpaid rent. Keysian Auctioneers has announced that a public auction will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, to sell the shop’s inventory. 

The items up for auction include shelves, massage beds, mirrors, towel warmers, barber seats, CCTV cameras, and various other items.
