Afropop superstar Mr Eazi, the inventor of the famed Banku music, has today announced Choplife.ci –his first wholly-owned brand in the gaming industry.

His latest venture Choplife.ci marks a significant milestone in Mr Eazi’s journey within the iGaming industry, reflecting his dedication to African entertainment and digital innovation.

The avid art curator and patron, real estate investor, philanthropist, festival producer and fashion enthusiast is now adding sports aficionado to his growing list of pursuits.

Mr Eazi says, “I’m excited to venture into our sixth market with the launch of Choplife.ci, this signifies our continued dedication to the gaming industry,” adding, “This marks a new era in African Entertainment. Cote d’Ivoire with its vibrant sports culture and expanding digital ecosystem, serves as the perfect launchpad.”

His latest endeavour underscores the transformative potential of African entrepreneurship in digital entertainment, setting a new standard for the industry’s growth and development in the region.

The new brand adds to Eazi’s recent buzzworthy news. Only last year, he dropped two acclaimed albums: his anticipated debut ‘The Evil Genius’ and ‘Chop Life, Vol. 1: Mzansi Chronicles’ with Kenya’s UK-based DJ Edu, ushering fans into his curatorial flair.

On this album he commissioned 13 African artists, including Kenyan artist Alphonse Odhiambo, known as Alpha ODH for the track “Advice”, to produce art representing each track of the album. Uniting with DJ Edu to unveil a new music outfit, ChopLife SoundSystem, was a big flex.

They have since toured successfully in Europe and curated music experiences at live events, with Mr Eazi as the MC and the primary vocalist and DJ Edu as the resident DJ.

Mr Eazi’s venture into the gaming industry began in 2017 as a Brand Ambassador for the betPawa brand.

He eventually became an investor and shareholder of betPawa’s parent company and became its licensed operating partner in five countries (Uganda, Tanzania, Ghana, Rwanda, and Benin) under the umbrella of www.choplifegaming.com

Throughout his tenure as a local operating partner and through his successful Choplife gaming brand, Mr Eazi has shown his dedication to nurturing talent and promoting African accomplishments in sports.

He has sponsored sports teams such as Rayon Sports FC in Rwanda, and Sporting Lagos in Nigeria, and endorsed athletes like Stephane Fondjo, the WBC Asia and Middle East Super Middleweight Champion; Maxwell Djantou, a globally recognized Sambo champion now progressing in MMA; and Ateba Gautier, an emerging star in MMA.

Choplife.ci brings you a wide variety of online sports betting and casino games, all delivered through an easy-to-use interface.

It aims to offer an innovative and accessible platform for sports enthusiasts while emphasising responsible gaming practices and reinvestment in African creativity and sports development.

Mr Eazi is also a serial entrepreneur and the brains behind emPawa Africa and emPawa Distribution and Label.

His ventures have benefited countless African artists and are hailed by CNNRolling StoneBillboard and Forbes for their innovative approach towards expanding African music’s global reach. It’s no wonder in 2024, Eazi received an award for ‘Young Entrepreneur Award’ at the 2024 African Prosperity Champions Award.
