Rihanna : “I regret exposing my body the way I did,”

Rihanna Robyn Fenty, the renowned beauty mogul and artist, recently opened up about regret from her earlier career days during an interview with British Vogue.

In this candid conversation, Rihanna revealed that certain outfits from her past, particularly those that showcased her body provocatively, now evoke feelings of discomfort for her. 

She described experiencing “the ick” when reflecting on these fashion choices and expressed that she wouldn’t wear such outfits at this point in her life.

“I regret exposing my body the way I did,” the ‘Umbrella’ hitmaker said during the launch of Fenty x Puma’s latest Creeper Phatty Earth Tone shoe collaboration held in London.

The 36-year-old singer and entrepreneur, further elaborated on her feelings towards her past fashion choices during her prime days. 

As a mother of two and a seasoned businesswoman, she acknowledged that certain aspects of her earlier style, particularly the amount of skin she showcased, now sometimes shock her. 

Reflecting on her evolution as a woman and mother, Rihanna admitted to moments of cringing when looking back at her past fashion statements.

“It’s going to sound hypocritical but, I have done a lot in my life. I had my nipples out, I had my panties out. But now those are the things, I guess, as a mom, as an evolved young lady… emphasizes on the young, it’s just things that I just feel like I would never do,” Riri dramatically explained while withholding to mention any outfit in particular that makes her feel like it was a little over the top in the ick department.

She, however, did mention some of her favourite red carpet looks over the years.

Finishing up she went on to note she is a different human right now and would not make the same fashion choices she did back in the day.

“And I’m just like, ‘Oh my god, I really did that? Nips out?’ I would not do that right now,” Miss Fenty said.

Riri currently has two kids; 23-month-old son RZA Athelaston Mayers, and 8-month-old son Riot Rose Mayers, (both boys) whom she shares with ‘Praise The Lord’ hitmaker Asap Rocky.
