Kairo and Boniface Mwangi send warning to protestors.

Activists Boniface Mwangi and Khalif Kairo are advising protesters to avoid marching to the State House. 

Instead, they recommend focusing their efforts on peacefully occupying Parliament. 

They emphasize the importance of strategic action and warn against being incited into actions that could lead to chaos and undermine the movement’s goals. 

Mwangi stresses the need for peaceful protests to demand accountability and change from the government, emphasizing that Parliament is the rightful place for the people’s voices to be heard.

“People coming out today is to remove the idea that politicians own us, it’s a demonstration that this moment belongs to us and it’s WE the People who tell the president what to do and not the other way round

“Secondly, the state has used fear by killing people on Tuesday and there should be a clear signal that speaking up shouldn’t be this costly. Those who were abducted, maimed and killed would otherwise have done so in vain. Ignore those bringing confusion, and most importantly telling you to Occupy State House. See you at parliament. #OccupyParliament,” Mwangi said.

On his part, Kairo was forced to defend himself on claims of being a traitor after saying he would not take part in today’s demos.

“Wacha tuseme Mungu hulinda watu wake. I personally saw 3 people get shot.

I saw that GSU crew with the trucks get mobbed, open their hatch and start shooting at us. Yet you now call us traitors😂 When did my opinion become so important?

Two factions in government are at war. Both will try to take advantage of our movement to settle scores. We should pull back for a minute and let them sort out their grudges without using the Gen Z revolt as a smokescreen

“I dare anybody calling us traitors atoe picha akiwa frontline. Ii energy mnatumia kuhate ju ya wivu, pay tribute to those who died. This are brains of a person who got shot less than 10metres from me. This movement has no leader, stop crucifying us for our own personal opinions,”
