Comedian and content creator Dr. Ofweneke has expressed his frustration with a local TV station’s website for referring to him as just a “local YouTube content creator.”
Ofweneke took to his Instagram to vent his anger, stating that the station failed to acknowledge him properly after they wrote an article based on his interview with a guest on his YouTube podcast, Lessons At 30.
He called on all media outlets in the country to give celebrities their due recognition when they choose to use their content in their stories, insisting that “you won’t die or stink by doing so.”
“What shame is there in mentioning Lessons At 30 and Dr. Ofweneke? I am called the Eagle himself, the Duke of Kakamega, Dr. Ofweneke, not a Local YouTuber. Learn to give all ‘YouTubers’ and content creators their flowers when you use their stories; you won’t die, and you won’t stink,” Ofweneke said.
Various bloggers and content creators flocked to the post in support of Ofweneke, claiming that it is only fair to be acknowledged appropriately when someone chooses to use their content to publish an article on their website.
