Lang’ata MP Jalang’o has shared his thoughts on Bradley Marongo, now trending in Kenya due to his status as the tallest person in the country.
Jalang’o emphasized the importance of being strategic when fame strikes unexpectedly, advising Marongo to invest in recurring income and brand expansion.
This, Jalang’o suggests, will help Marongo secure reliable contracts and promotions, ensuring he maintains his recognition and leverages the unique opportunities coming his way.
“The people in charge of his brand would look for something that will last longer than him being tall, what can he be able to do than this person that is using his brands now I hope that they are signing better contracts that can last this guy a longer time,” Jalas said.
This comes after Bradley Marongo had the opportunity to endorse several company brands, marking a major breakthrough for him.
Former radio host Jalang’o compared Marongo’s rise to fame with that of “Githeri Man,” who went viral in 2017 after being photographed holding a pack of githeri while queuing to vote.
Githeri Man’s sudden fame attracted numerous brand deals, and even the president’s tailor promised to dress him for a year.
However, within months, his fame faded, leaving him in poverty. Jalang’o highlighted this to emphasize the importance of long-term strategy in sustaining newfound fame.
“Hiyo brand yake how big it is right now, atengenezee chapaa saii mtu akimletea kitu achukue,”
Jalongos’s advice remains to the Kenyan Goliath that he should capitalize on the opportunity that follows him.
This ensures his fame doesn’t become a transient moment. He should be at the peak all the time. It comes as a matter of investing in brand building that sustains ones potential in different benefits.
