Comedian Shaniqwa started his comical journey at the young age of 23.

He is now a single father raising his only child.

The comedian opened up to Dr Ofweneke on Lessons at 30, revealing that he plans to remarry soon.

He and Ofweneke bonded over the topic of new love. “Right now, I’m in a good relationship. I’m living a good life and in good hands. I thank God,” he shared.

However, his journey has been far from easy. He reflected on the challenges he faced five years ago as a single dad unable to work.

“I didn’t deserve it. Everyone has their faults, but I didn’t deserve it, and my son didn’t deserve it. I went through hell, watching my world crumble. Even if I had my flaws, I didn’t deserve it. My child certainly didn’t deserve it.”

He admitted there were red flags he had ignored. “I saw it — those midnight calls. It happened after I had organized a job for her because she was a housewife. Back then, I was working at KTN, but after I got fired, she became the breadwinner. I’d wake up in the middle of the night and find her chatting.”

Eventually, he decided to end the relationship. “On my son’s first birthday, we were planning a party. She got a call and said she needed to go to Ruiru on that day. I asked, ‘Why? What’s so important? Go tomorrow. I’m not stopping you from going.’ I convinced her to stay.”

Despite everything, he has chosen to forgive. “We even chat on Instagram DMs — I hold no grudges. I forgive because if I don’t forgive, who will forgive me for my sins? I’m not a saint. If she were here, she’d tell you my faults too
