Selena Gomez, a multi-award-winning singer and actress, recently stated that she prefers not to publicly discuss her finances or net worth as she considers it to be in poor taste. 

Despite making it onto the billionaire list this year, she declined to answer questions about her recent success during an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” at the New York Film Festival.

Selena’s net worth is estimated to be $1.3 billion, largely due to her Rare Beauty makeup brand. 

Despite her massive success, she remains down-to-earth. In addition to her financial success, she is also the third most-followed person on Instagram, with 424 million followers.

“I personally think it’s distasteful to talk about money…” the “Only Murders in the Building” star said in part. Adding she owed her success to all those who’d shown patronage to her work.

“But I really am giving all the credit to the people who buy the products. They’re the ones that made this dream of mine come true,” the 32-year-old artist told E.

Finishing up Selena gave flowers to her fans saying, “So, I’m really really honoured and just happy.”

In September, Bloomberg reported the ‘Who Says’ crooner’s net worth skyrocketed to $1.3 billion, with a “vast bulk” of her money coming from her beauty company which she launched back in 2019.

The high-tech business and financial data platform also credited Selena’s billion-dollar success to her acting and singing career, real estate portfolio, brand endorsements and Wondermind investment.
