Can Mbappé Find His Magic at Real Madrid?

Kylian Mbappé’s highly anticipated move to Real Madrid has not gone as smoothly as many expected since his free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Despite a difficult start, the forward remains hopeful about winning the UEFA Champions League with his new La Liga club.
The 25-year-old, whose contract runs until 2029, has faced early challenges in Madrid.
These difficulties were evident during Real Madrid’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Matchday 5 of the Champions League group stage.
With Vinicius Jr. sidelined, Mbappé had the chance to take on his preferred role but experienced a frustrating game, marking a tough moment for the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
Although he scored in a league match against Getafe over the weekend, Mbappé has struggled during crucial moments.
This was highlighted on Wednesday when he missed a pivotal penalty in the 68th minute, contributing to Real Madrid’s 2-1 loss to Athletic Club.
Nevertheless, he bounced back on Saturday by scoring in a 3-0 victory over Girona, reflecting the ups and downs of his first season in Spain.
In a recent interview with CLIQUE, Mbappé was asked about PSG’s chances of winning the Champions League soon.
He expressed his desire for PSG to wait, stating, “For now, I don’t hope so because I want to win it.
In the future, I hope PSG wins it because their fans have suffered a lot. But right now, no, because I want to win it.”
He added, “I always watch the PSG matches; I played there for seven years. I know very well what state of mind the players are in and how difficult it is because everyone fixates on this obsession with the Champions League. I have always kept in touch with PSG.”
If Mbappé and Real Madrid do not win the Champions League this season, he is likely to face criticism, especially given that he joined the reigning champions.
