“Stop discussing your ex” Joyce to Sara Kabu.

Media personality, communication strategist, and former radio host Joyce Gituro recently shared a video on her Instagram page offering advice to Sarah Mtalii, the managing director of Bonfire Adventures, now that she is single. 

Joyce, who has been a single mom for several years following her split from her husband, noted that she was speaking from personal experience. 

“Hey Sarah Kabu, welcome to this other side,” she began, addressing Sarah directly.

She emphasized, “I have known you as a very hardworking woman. In this phase, you will be judged, and you may even face abuse,” as she let out a strained chuckle. 

Joyce then provided a list of things for Sarah to psychologically prepare for, highlighting how drastically life changes as a single woman.

“Start getting acquainted with mechanics, as they will be the ones servicing your car. Learn how to change light bulbs and work very hard. Understand that your kids will also be judged, but you will find a lot of peace,” Joyce candidly advised.

In concluding her message, Joyce encouraged Sarah not to resist the possibility of reconciling with Simon Kabu, the father of her children.

 “If one day you wake up and decide you want to go back to the father of your kids, please do. If you are convinced you need to go back, then go ahead,” the communications strategist expressed.

Joyce added, “But for now, let me tell you one thing, Sarah Kabu: stop discussing your ex. Focus on your job and your business, work hard to improve yourself, and welcome again to this new chapter. Here, we often face criticism, but hey, we are happy.” 

She then turned around to show her a customized T-shirt that read “Single Lifestyle.”

In the caption of her video, she tagged @Sarahkabu and included the hashtags #singlelifestyle, #parentingalone, and #mamajakes.

During a recent interview, Sarah expressed her hopes of getting married in the future despite her past experiences.

 “Now that I am single, I want to travel more with my clients. What would we do if we closed the company? I want to go to Ibiza and Miami. I haven’t thought about meeting someone yet;

 I need to heal. I am not sure if I want to date again, but I do want to be married again. I was raised to be a wife, and I don’t know how to navigate dating. For now, I am focused on healing, and I would appreciate any ideas.”
