Digital content creator and comedian Celestine Ndinda Kimani is thrilled about her latest achievement on YouTube.
The mother of two is now the proud owner of a Silver Creator Button award after surpassing 100,000 subscribers on her channel.
Her channel focuses on lifestyle content and features the art of storytelling through a podcast that she co-hosts with her husband, veteran actor, author, and fellow comedian Timothy Kimani, famously known as Njugush.
To celebrate this milestone, Ndinda shared an unboxing video on her Instagram page, expressing her gratitude to all those who engage with her content and have supported her from the beginning.
She was particularly thankful to her husband, whom she described as an “expert” who has greatly assisted her in navigating the content creation world and encouraged her to put herself out there.
“Guys, guess what I received in December! Back in December…” Ndinda excitedly shared, accompanied by an upbeat soundtrack as she revealed a black box with the word ‘YouTube’ emblazoned in white.
She continued, “Thank you, thank you, to all those who have subscribed to my YouTube channel. I want to thank you all. Wow,” as she finally opened the box to see its contents.
Inside the box, she found a letter from YouTube commending her for her hard work, content, and growth. Overcoming this with emotion, she expressed deeper thanks to her supporters.
“Yay! Not forgetting my expert, Kimani… Timothy Kimani, thank you. And thank you to everyone, all the camera people and videographers who have contributed to my YouTube content,” Ndinda said, unable to contain her childlike excitement.
The mother of two then read parts of the letter from YouTube, turning it into a sort of Q&A session.
YouTube asked, “Do you remember your first subscriber?” Ndinda replied, “No.” YouTube continued, “Do you remember your 100th subscriber?” Ndinda said, “No, but I am so happy! I am super, super— and I mean super—happy! I also want to acknowledge my team.”
As she finally pulled her silver plaque out of the box and posed with it for the camera, Wakavinye, exclaimed, “Kanakaa vizuri sana (it looks so good)” as she read the tag on the plaque congratulating her for surpassing the 100,000 subscriber mark on the video-sharing platform.
Finishing up she promised her fans more engaging content and story times on her channel, saying, “Back to season two! Back for more Cele’s Reflection, back like we never left! It is 2025, guys! So, let’s do this! Mungu Mbele,”
Capturing her excitement in the post’s caption, she wrote, “Let’s do this! Thank you so much for your support. Tuendelee vivo hivyo (let’s continue with that momentum).”
