Ken Gachuhi:
“Rest in peace, comrade Sylas Apollo. A great man has rested—mtu roho safi. He taught me how to use the console back at 103.9 MMUST FM. In 2013, we co-hosted the 7PM news. I once blanked out live on air during a discussion. Apollo, being the good guy he was, turned off the mics and briefed me. He saved the day. It’s heartbreaking that you’ve gone too soon, my friend.”
Adicynthia Kickie Nicholes: “It is not well at all, Sylas Apollo. Hii imeuma. Rest in peace, brother.”
Charity Waweru Mwangi:
“Kijana Handsome, ati you are no longer with us on this side of Eternity? I remember how you used to inject yourself into song lyrics and make us laugh! You were such a vibe and will be dearly missed. Sad that you never found ‘mtu wako’—or if you did, you kept her away from this public platform. NTV’s longest-serving lastborn—thank you for your friendship. Rest in power, Young Blood!”
Silas Apollo will be remembered as a vibrant and compassionate journalist whose warmth touched many. His untimely passing is a deep loss to the media fraternity and all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
