2020 Grammys Now Lowest-Rated In Show’s History

Predictably, the untimely deaths of NBA legend of Kobe Bryant,41,and his daughter Gianni,13,have caused a ripple effect on a lot of things. Sadness has since engulfed Hollywood and the world over in more ways than a myriad and that can be seen in the way normalcy has been affected. A Lakers Vs Clippers game was postponed yesterday as a gesture to pay respect to Kobe, and that just a tip of the iceberg.
Reports indicate that Sunday’s Grammy Awards was the lowest-rated show in history. The show aired just a few hours after news surfaced of the unprecedented deaths of Kobe and his daughter. While host Alicia Keys displayed sheer strength and composure,it was a no brainer that a sombre atmosphere had take centrestage throughout the show, and new reports seem to confirm that that could not be any closer to the truth.
This year’s Grammys are now the lowest-rated in the history of the show. The show had 18.7 million viewers,a 6% drop from last year’s Grammys.
