FIFA WORLD CUP TROPHY IS IN KENYA!

On May 26, The 18-karat gold FIFA World Cup Trophy landed in Kenya on a two-day tour. The trophy was accompanied by Brazilian legend Juliano Belletti and received by Cabinet Secretaries for Sports Amina Mohamed, trade’s Betty Maina and Najib Balala of Tourism.
Belletti broke Arsenal FC hearts in the 2006 UEFA Champions League final and he happens to be the official ambassador 9f the Trophy.
“By bringing Juliano Belletti here together with the FIFA World Cup trophy, we are hoping to inspire the next generation of footballers and hope that they can learn from his experience” Said Isabel Kariuki, Frontline Marketing Director, East and Central Africa Franchise.Kariuki.
He played for FC Barcelona, scored an 80th minute winner for the Blaugrana as they beat the Gunners 2-1 that gave them an opportunity of their first ever Champions League trophy.
Belletti won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and has been capped 23 times by the Selecao. The trophy will head to State House and will be received by President Uhuru Kenyatta who is the only one allowed to touch the Trophy.
Football fans will have an opportunity to view the Trophy on 27th Friday at the KICC.
