Sauti Sol Inks Recording Deal With Universal Music Group

Chart-topping boyband Sauti Sol are kickstarting the year with mega moves,suffice to say! The foursome who are gearing up for the release of their 5th studio album have been busy making their characteristic classic music,and this new milestone ought to be a huge addition to their repertoire.

News just in that the boys just inked a recording deal with Universal Music Africa,an affiliate to Universal Music Group-an industry music giant. This partnership is no mean feat,seeing as it seeks to give Sauti Sol’s music a transcending edge,which is bound to make them appeal to audiences the world over. The crooners are the first to sign on to the label in the country,and join their Tanzanian counterparts Diamond Platnumz and Vanessa Mdee.

Last year,the group inked another deal with Africa Creative Agency,that is home to a number African elite artistes. UMG Managing Director for South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa,Sipho Dlamini,hailed them as utterly creative and innovative and said he was thrilled to have them join the million-dollar group.
