Akothee issues update on her sick son Oyoo.

Singer Esther Akoth, known as Akothee, recently provided an update on her son Oyoo, who has undergone two surgeries in 2024.

In a post shared on her social media, Akothee described how challenging this year has been for her, highlighting that her son has been frequently in and out of the hospital.

“It has been heartbreaking to see my son confined to a wheelchair,” she shared. “This year has been difficult not just for me, but for many others as well. 

In 2024, Oyoo has shown me what true strength looks like. Watching your child in this situation cuts deep, reaching the very core of your being.”

Akothee also urged social media users to practice kindness, emphasising that everyone faces their own struggles, often unseen by others. 

She sent her best wishes for her son’s recovery, stating, “Be kind to people; you never know what they are going through off-camera. Get well soon, OYOO DAKTARI. Oyoo, you are a shining star. Good morning, my people.”
