Akuku Danger surprises netizens with ‘fanta ugali’.

Move over, Rooming Chef! Stand-up comedian Akuku Danger’s video of him preparing ugali with Fanta has sparked a flurry of reactions.

While some people were surprised by the unconventional method of using water, others saw it as an ancient traditional recipe.

In a conversation with a woman speaking Luo, Akuku demonstrates how to stir the flour while adding soda. “Hii inaitwa Kuon anang’a,” he says, repeating the name of the brown ugali. “Mmejua hii ugali?” he asks his viewers.

Later, Akuku acknowledged the flood of questions and critiques he received about his unique cooking technique.

“If you know, you know,” he remarked, adding, “I posted this video yesterday on my Stories, and I’ve received insane comments and questions about it. May the real Luos stand up and explain to others because I’m struggling to explain it. Kwani hamuijui hii ugali?”
