Amber Ray reveals she spends 1.5 million on household items.

In a recent interview, the Rapudos revealed that they preferred staying in a rented house that costs 350,000 shillings instead of building their own house.

Amber Ray finally split the beans on why they prefer renting to being house owners.

She told Radio Presenter Alex Mwakideu who was astounded that she would spend such an amount on rent instead of taking the path to home ownership. 

“Actually hapo ndo tunaelekea. Coz tunataka kujenga our dream house so ile pale..unajua saa zingine unatafta pesa kwa ugumu mbona usienjoy maisha yako at the same time. So I can as long as you are living in Nairobi let’s live in a house that tunapenda inafanya unafeel…unajua?”

She said paying that amount makes her feel happy and fulfilled. But be patient, they will build a home. 

“Unafeel happy it’s just a…ni a period of time. Si ati tutaishi hapo forever. Of course tuko na io plan ya kujenga.” 

Her monthly budget is allegedly sh1.5million. This was after a question from Captain Emmanuel Mwashumbe about what her complete budget from shopping, bills, and all home items cost. 

“I’ll say 1.5 to be on the safe side.”

Amber has always spoken out about a tough life previously and her mantra these days is enjoying life to the fullest.

“My family at that time we had no money at all. Yani shida ilikuwa ina ..yani ukifungua hivi kabati inalia tu shida. Shida was a lot, yeah? Mi nimepitia shida sana. So ukiona hivi nikienjoy life, naambianga watu mni ache tu, mniache.”

She said that people find it hard to believe she had humble beginnings due to her current lifestyle.

“Mi ni hustler, na sijawahi alla njaa but siwezi lala njaa juui na jua kutafuta pesa.”
