Ariana Grande’s Latest Release Is The Epitome Of No-Strings-Attached Relationships

Fresh off the heels of the American leg of her sold-out Sweetener World Tour,Ariana Grande has dropped yet another chart staple-as if all these Hot 100 entries are not enough! Except this time, she rises to the occasion to address something that is not always addressed.
Featuring pop duo Social House (Mike Foster and Scootey Anderson),this new defiant record dubbed Boyfriend is the epitome of wanting to feel in love albeit with no strings attached,as depicted in chilling lyrics: You ain’t my boyfriend,I ain’t your girlfriend. But you don’t want me to see nobody else, and I don’t want you to see nobody. Quite the theme of a lot of people’s lives. The video is directed by Hannah Lux Davis, who also directed both the Thank You,Next and Fifth Harmony’s That’s My Girl videos. It captures the lyrical essence of the song quite profoundly. Ariana and Mike play a couple who have not defined their relationship yet,but do not want to see their maybe-significant get close with somebody else,to the extent of beating up/ripping someone’s heart/shooting an arrow at someone to a 3rd party who tries to come close to them. Needless to say, quite captivating scenes.
On the flip side, grapevine has it that Ariana Grande is actually dating Mike Foster. An absolute plot twist, this.
