Bien demands crazy punishments for people harassing women.

Singer and songwriter Bien Aime Sol recently shared his desire for fatherhood, views on gender equality, and reasons why Sol Fest was not held at Nyayo stadium.

In an interview with Iko Nini podcast, the Sauti Sol lead singer disclosed his willingness to prioritise family over his music career and emphasised the importance of actively supporting women in society.

“If my wife decided to work and I am supposed to stay at home and look after the kids then raising children is a career. being a stay at home they have to instil ethics and nurture the kids it’s a full-time job. 

“If I have kids in the future I can decide to take a gap year from music to take care of my kids. In my career of life I see it fit to take care of my kids,” said Bien.

During the discussion, Bien discussed the changing dynamics of gender relations in society.

He highlighted the gradual erosion of patriarchy and toxic masculinity, stating the need for men to play a proactive role in advancing gender equality.

Bien condemned acts of violence against women, advocating for stricter penalties to deter perpetrators and create a safer environment for all individuals.

“I want crazy punishments for anyone who does anything stupid to women, I want women living knowing they are not targets,” said Bien.

He went on to divulge details on why the Sol Fest did not go down in the Nyayo stadium as intended and criticised the preference that church events were given.

“Sol Fest ilikuwa inafaa  kuwa Nyayo Stadium tukaambiwa hatuwezi pewa because wasee hawaezi kanyanga nyasi kuna sprinkler system international hapo yenye itaharibiwa na  wasee wakikanyaga hiyo nyasi.

Alafu pia  tracks ziko na timer na tracking system underneath the track yenye  pia haifai kuguzwa, so watu hawawezi kanyanga wakiwa wengi , lakini naonanga vitu za church ikifanya.” Bien revealed.
