Burna Boy gets huge nomination for the BET awards.

The nominees for the 2024 BET Awards have been announced, and there are several African stars in the running for different categories such as Best International Act and Viewer’s Choice. 

Nigerian artist Burna Boy is nominated for Best Male R&B/Pop Artist, Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, and Best International Act. 

Other African nominees include Tems, Tyla, Asake, Focalistic, Makhadzi, Seyi Vibez, and Tyler ICU. 

Meanwhile, Drake leads the nominations with seven nods, followed by Nicki Minaj with six. 

The 2024 BET Awards will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on June 30 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. 

The theme for this year’s awards is “Standing on Culture,” and the first confirmed performers include GloRilla, Latto, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, and Victoria Monét.
