Christina Shusho has released a statement addressing her separation from her husband.
In a recent statement on the same, the “ Shusha Nyavu” musician started by saying;
“Ndugu Zangu, Waandishi wa Habari mnaonitafuta na Mashabiki Kwa Ujumla Ningependa kuchukua nafasi hii kuweka baadhi ya mambo sawa.”
( My siblings, journalists and fans who keep looking for me. I would love to inform you of a few things.)
She added that she was going to clear the air on news circulating on social media.
“Najua mna maswali mengi kutokana na interviews nilizo fanya mwaka 2020 na nyingine mwaka wa 2022.Niseme tu maswali haya yote nitayajibu kikamilifu hivi punde na Ukweli utajulikana.”
(I know you have many questions from the interviews I did in 2020 and another in 2022. Let me just say that I will answer all these questions fully soon and the truth will be known)
She went on to warn that;
“Watu wanao tumia jina langu au picha zangu kwenye online kueneza habari za upotofu na wengine kutukana:Jambo hili liko kisheria na nina Imani Hatua stahiki zitachukuliwa kwani wanasheria na Mamlaka husika wana taarifa zote.”
( People who use my name or photos online to spread false rumours and insults This matter is legal and I have faith that appropriate measures will be taken because the lawyers and the relevant authorities have all the information)
She asked for patience from her fans as she prepared to make a public statement on the status of her marriage.
“Siku ya Kuongea ikifika ntaongea yote kuhusu Ndoa ili Ukweli julikane badala ya watu kueneza habari ambazo hawana undani wake. Naamini Ukweli siku zote humuweka mtu huru. Niwaombe uvumilivu swala hili linapo endelea kufanyiwa kazi “
(“When the Day of Talking comes, I will speak about Marriage in order to clarify the truth, rather than allowing misinformation to spread. I firmly believe that the truth always sets a person free. I kindly ask for your patience as we continue to work on resolving this issue.”.)
While giving a testimony at a Rwanda-based church a year ago, Shusho said she was married at the age of 19 when she didn’t know about love.
