In a thrilling FA Cup semifinal at Wembley Stadium, Manchester United narrowly defeated Coventry in a dramatic penalty shootout, thanks to the heroics of Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The match was a rollercoaster ride, with United blowing a three-goal lead and needing VAR intervention to avoid conceding a late goal which would have given the Sky Blues a fairy tale win and a big shock loss for United and also continued with shock defeats and wins in the FA Cup.

However, Onana came up big in the ensuing penalty shootout to help Manchester United reach the FA Cup final, where they will face off against local rivals Manchester City.

The game was an attacking affair from the start, with both teams showing intent.

However, Manchester United dominated possession and had the first real chance of the game in the 15th minute through Marcus Rashford, who missed the target.

The Red Devils broke the deadlock in the 24th minute through Scott McTominay, who tapped in a perfect cross from Diogo Dalot.

Coventry tried to come back into the game, but United’s makeshift defence proved too strong.

Harry Maguire headed in Bruno Fernandes’ corner just before halftime, putting United in a commanding position.

In the second half, United continued their dominance, with a deflected strike from Fernandes seemingly putting the game beyond Coventry’s reach.

However, the Sky Blues staged a remarkable comeback, with a late equalizer in the 95th-minute penalty after Aron Wan Bissaka handled the ball in the United box.

In a frantic and fast-paced extra time, the Sky Blues goal was rightfully ruled for offside leading to the penalty shoot

Manchester United got off to a nervy start, with Casemiro missing his penalty.

However, Onana saved O’Hare’s effort before Coventry’s Ben Sheaf blazed his penalty over the bar.

Rasmus Hojlund converted the decisive penalty, sealing a dramatic 4-2 shootout victory for Manchester United.

The Red Devils will now face their arch-rivals Manchester City in the final, and the match promises to be an epic derby showdown for the prestigious FA Cup trophy.
